About Definitive

The Past

It started with two best friends, a fate full winter season at Lake Louise, and an idea. The idea was simple. To bring all extreme sports enthusiasts together under one community by creating comfortable apparel that united us all. No more hating on each other for skiing not snowboarding or killing the skate park on your bike not your board.

After the idea came the name.  Definitive Riding Apparel.  The Webster’s dictionary defines the word Definitive as and “Adjective” meaning “ serving to define, fix, or specify definitely: to clarify with a definitive statement” What better word is there to go alone with the idea. We at DRA are serving to define, fix and specify definitely the riding community as one entity, not as many small ones. Our name not only embodies this mission, but our slogan makes our intentions even clearer;

Riders Unite.

The Present

The idea has stayed the same. The name has proven its self time and time again to embody the spirit of a united riding community. The two best friends are still pushing forward every year to expand and progress. The major thing that has changed for us here at Definitive is our extended Family.  The Definitive family has grown from a few friends supporting the idea, to well over 1000 people that we now consider to be our extended family. With out this extended family Definitive would be nothing. It is for them and future family members that we will continue to unite this community by providing the freshest gear we can.  We truly are a “Rider Based” Company. All designs are straight from the family of riders that we involved with. There we get the info straight from the riders out slayshing the water, blasting pow, grinding the rails, as to what they want to see on their gear.

The Future

The future looks bright to say the least. With new designs and ideas coming in daily and contacts being made overseas to expand our printing capabilities, Definitive is looking to double its amount of out going gear in the next year. More stores are contacting us weekly to inquire about DRA, and that being said, keep your eye out  fro your local shops to be reppin Definitive in the near future.
